Works wonderfully. Only problem is background noise can confuse it but I dont see any way to avoid that problem really. Overall its a really good tuner!

I love this tuner. I use it often in my repair shop. However, a landscape mode would help tremendously since my phone is so tall.

I use this app to tune my banjos (yes, they are pretuned at the factory). But when I upgraded to System iOS8.1, it stopped working. The review by Bookworm3451 provided the solution: go to settings/privacy/microphone and turn it back on for Cleartune.

Had to buy again since iOS upgrade could not find the app....

The tuner is sensitive and easy to read. But the pitch pipe function is pathetic: inaudible at low frequencies and earsplittingly loud as the pitch gets higher. Absolutely useless for guitar.

Tested out a few tuner apps and this one is the most accurate. Works on guitars and pianos too.

This is the gold standard of tuners. You can tune a piano with this puppy. I prefer this to many of my high-priced digital and analog tuners that cost hundreds of dollars. I’ve been using this for five years, and I couldn’t count a single thing I could do without in musical performance with my best guitars, short of this one elegant iPhone app. Enjoy! But it hasnt worked for a while now. Im thinking it hasnt been updated for the newer OS. Might find on that is being kept up.....

This tuner’s note indicator bounces too much to be useful for the piano and does not work at all for the oboe (e.g., displays an F# instead of C). Also, the tuner would open on my iPod, but would not install on my old iPhone 4. I tried the built-in mic and an external mic as well as different rooms. The tuner response was poor or wrong for all these situations.

Cleartune works great (Im currently using a 5S) for tuning my acoustic guitars. I couldnt be happier with it. When it comes to tuners, I mostly just want a tool that does its job and then gets out of the way. At this, Cleartune succeeds and also manages to look beautiful along the way. Its a great tool that I use all the time.

Im an orchestra teacher and use this app to tune every member of the orchestra. Its clear, accurate and plain works. Get it.

This thing is precise. You can actually see the needle move with super fine adjustments. Great for intonation.

The title says it all. The actual product is flawless I can easily tune my cello and is always on point. Also is much better than carrying a crappy 20$ tuner from guitar center. Though my only complaint is it has not been updated since October 20 2012 and that is not a good thing. Though the app is solid it is not optimized for my iPhone 6. But besides that you should definitely buy the app better and easier than any other tuner anywhere else.

This tuner is easy to read especially for students just learning how to tune their sting instruments.

This app is g8 m8 I r8 8/8 but it tends to fly around while Im tuning my bass PLZ fix but other than that problem its totally awesome

This app works ok for guitars but really no better than the free ones. I was hoping to use it for help in tuning my piano but it seemed to have difficulty recognizing notes above or below the middle three octaves.

Exceptionally designed, has never crashed and always gets the job done Been a proud owner of this app for a few years now... Great app! Worth the money
